|RIO PACUARE Class iii & IV|
A trip of pure magic, unsurpassed beauty, wildlife and ravishing rapids. The quintessential tropical river, along its course lay seceral densely forested gorges which shelter jaguars, ocelots. monkeys, sloths and an incredible variety of birds. Also found within these gorges is some of the best whitewater in the world.
|RIO COROBICI Class I - II|
This nature float trip is perfect for bird watchers and nature lovers. The scenery and wildlife along the Corobic̀ are legendary. At the nearby Palo Verde National Park, over 300 species of birds have been sighted and most of them can be seen along the Corobic̀ as well. Among the most commonly seen birds are ospreys, mot-mots, Blue, Silver-throated, and Boat-billed Herons; sandpipers, swallows, kingfishers; Crested Caracaras; and cormorants. Howler monkeys, iguanas, and many other varieties of lizards are also common. This trip is a must in combination with your additional tours to Guanacaste beaches, Monteverde or Gulf Island Cruise.

|RIO SARAPIQUI Class I - II
Chilamate to Puerto Viejo (7 miles). A perfect calm water birdwatching trip through lowland wet forest on the Atlantic side of the country. The trip is ideal for birdwatchers and nature lovers who will appreciate the wide variety of wildlife -- birds, monkeys, iguanas, sloths, etc. -- found in the river's corridor.
|RIO GENERAL Class III - IV|
Dropping from its source on Mt. Chirripo, the Rio General offers exciting whitewater in a rich tropical environment. The General, which compares favorably to California's Toulumne and Idaho's famous Middle Fork of the Salmon, is one of the finest whitewater rivers in the world. A gradient of 50 feet/mile and flows up to 10,000 cubic meters per second, produce more than 100 class III and Class IV rapids in the first forty miles. Innumerable waterfalls cascade into the river and the beauty of the wide, tropical canyon and pasture lands is unsurpassed. There is a great variety of wildlife, from tropical birds to three-foot long multicolored iguanas sunning themselves on the rocks and trees.
