Grupo Mawamba is made up of nature lodges located in or near Costa Rica's major tourist destinations. Our mission is to maintain the tradition of Costa Rican hospitality, providing the best and most efficient services available.

With over 12 years in the tourist industry, Grupo Mawamba began with the Mawamba Lodge in Tortuguero, then grew to include the Trogón Lodge in San Gerardo de Dota, Bahía Pez Vela Lodge in Playa Azul, Guanacaste and the Rio Danta Restaurant in Guapiles. Each of these destinations has a well-deserved reputation for offering comfortable accommodations, a cozy atmosphere, professional management and excellent service.

Identified with the virtues of our beloved Costa Rica, our members meet the demanding requirements of the international tourist industry while maintaining standards that ensure a sustainable national tourism product as well.
