Facilities for Disabled Guests
The Real InterContinental San José hotel offers 261 rooms, including six suites, all decorated in a fresh and elegant style. The hotel features 70 non-smoking rooms, and rooms for physically challenged guests are available upon request.
All our rooms have air conditioning, minibar, in-room safe, Internet connection, cable television, movies, vanity mirror, direct dial telephone and voicemail, hairdryer, clock radio, desk and evening courtesy service. Bathrooms are provided with a shower with bath tube, mirror, hairdryer, bathroom scale and bathrobe. Our guests also have access to Room Service 24 hours a day, a same-day laundry service, and all of the hotel's many other facilities.

Our 190 luxury rooms, distributed between the 2nd and 4th floors, offer modern facilities and comfort for the traveler. The rooms are decorated with elegance and good taste, in fresh colors reminiscent of the country's tropical environment. There are two kinds of luxury rooms: King rooms with one king bed, and Double rooms offering two double beds.
Business Rooms
These 15 rooms were specially designed for business people by combining the hotel's comfort with an office's functional qualities. The rooms have a large desk, a comfortable ergonomic chair, a desk lamp with a powerful light, laptop connections, Internet access which is included in your room rate, a multi-purpose machine (fax, printer, copier and scanner). The room has two phone connections, a coffee maker and a business kit.
Rooms for Non-smokers
We have 70 non-smoking rooms. All are equipped with the standard features of a safe-deposit box, telephone with a direct line and an answering machine, cable TV, video games and movies in the room, hairdryer, alarm radio, minibar and bathroom with a tub.
The 54 rooms of the Club InterContinental® are located on the 5th floor of the hotel, with restricted entry by a card-key at the elevator. Guests of this floor have exclusive access to our Club InterContinental® Lounge, open from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm, and offering a Club breakfast, soft drinks and snacks all day, and canapés and a pair of cocktails in the evening. All these benefits are without additional cost and are included in your room rate.
Club guests' additional services include access to a private Reception, butler service, laundering of three items, a morning newspaper, and exceptional personalized attention. All Club rooms have direct Internet access with no need to use the telephone line.
Our five Junior Suites are located on the 5th floor. These suites have a master bedroom with king bed, and a completely separate living room. The bathroom features a jacuzzi, a shower separate from the bathtub, and bidet. The living room provides a welcoming atmosphere, suitable for receiving visitors, and is arranged with sofa, television and table for dinner or work. A DVD is included, with a choice of more than 500 videos for rental.
The Presidential Suite has the comfort and spaciousness of several suites in one. Its ample dimensions and luxurious and elegant details, both in its furniture and its decoration, make it unique. It is ideal for family groups or top executives looking for the ultimate in luxury and comfort.
Guests at the Presidential Suite enjoy a wide range of amenities, which include a jacuzzi, a large dining room, television, DVD, stereo, minibar and safe-deposit box. The suite features a view of the swimming pool and is adjacent to room #533 to which it can be interconnected.
Facilities for Disabled Guests
The hotel offers four special rooms for disabled guests, one on each
floor. These rooms are specially designed with wider doors, more accessible
switches, and a larger bathroom that is equipped with security rails
and a telephone.
